Followers of Abrahamic faiths came up with the concept of hell in order to scare us into obedience. I, for one, am not buying into the idea that if I am bad I will be sent to some land of fire and brimstone. I just can't see it happening.

Nobody deserves to experience eternal torment. There are no lost souls out there. People simply live their will or they don't. I don't believe psychologists have figured out the mechanisms behind criminal behaviour for us to truly know whether or not these individuals are truly damned.

The idea of Hell causes more damage than creating good for people. It makes us avoid questioning our religious doctrine and we lose out on what spirituality can be about.

Most religions cordoin off areas of life and we are not allowed to go there. Disturbed and suicidal people become ashamed of their feelings and are unable to seek out the help they need. Homosexual people feel ashamed of their natural preferences. People bow down and follow order like a bunch of little twits. We don't fucking well need any of this Hell bullshit. There is already enough crap in life to worry about already.

Hell is a place on Earth. It is within abusive households. It is in third world countries where people are gripped by starvation. It is in the agony of blind ignorance.

We need to accept that we already live in Hell and try to make it a bit of a better place. Life may suck, but there is a lot we can all be doing to make it a lot better.

We cannot always escape the pains of our lives. Thus, we must learn the best way of accepting our problems and solving them. This means no longer deluding yourself into believing that you love who you are and everything in life is just fine. We must admit what we hate and follow a path of extreme truth.
