The Self

Yes, this is the most important person in the world to each of us.

So, make sure you know yourself well.

What do you like to eat? Drink? Do for fun? These questions should all be easy to answer... and, more...
What car would you like? Where would you like to travel? What would you buy for a new wardrobe? Where would you most like to live?

We need to know all of these things so we can live happy lives. We don't need to know so much about what some fucker wants out of life... Unless they can inspire us. So, fuck them all and let them eat shit.

Most white light paths tend to neglect the self in their discussions of spirituality. Instead we are taught that we must please everyone else. God, our parents, our country... We are taught to be 'selfless', which to me seems like the most pitiful state a human being can be in.

Through spiritual attuned we become more self-aware. We begin to see that it is ourselves we need to please most. Others may not appreciate our efforts in the least, let alone us finding reward for these altruistic actions.

The prerequisite for fulfillment is self trust. Self-trust is usually obtained by positive conditioning. When our actions are rewards we learn that they are safe and we begin to trust ourselves to do what we do. The miscarriage of a plan can obviously bring horrible feelings of self-doubt. The thwarted self can often be shunted away and given no opportunity to grow.

In the birth of much that is new and inventive we must crawl through a great deal of pain and ugliness. A weak soul abandons their plans with the first heartbreaks and inappropriate disclosures. In order to become our most whole self we must savagely combat any self-doubt which may befall us. Fight it out, even if the battle gets ugly... and, it most certainly CAN get ugly at times.

People who are seemingly 'above' us in the hierarchical scheme of things enjoy their power and influence over us. It is unlikely that your boss would want to trade places with you and take your crap job upon themselves. Many people will do all within their capabilities to make sure that those they perceive as less influential do not rise above them. Fuck! Your peers don't even want you to out do them, so don't expect anybody supporting much of what you choose to do with your life.

If you do meet supportive people make sure to honour them and thank your fucking lucky stars.

We must overcome everybody telling us we are dumb, ugly, not able to do stuff, and whole variety of worse or more subtle nay-saying. We have to thumb our noses at these pricks and keep moving.

Self-trust gives us the faith we need in order to pursue our dreams. Trust yourself to dream a little in the first place, and then take a few small steps towards your dreams. Reward yourself and pat yourself in the back. Even, and ESPECIALLY when. your explorations make you a subject of ridicule. Acknowledging that you have tried is the first step in embracing a path of true selfhood.

There are many great rewards to be had in the world out there. Fight for them until the end, and let your own self define what is a reward and what merits a success to YOU. Your standards need not be the same as those of your irritating capitalistic, son of a bitch, of a boss, nor that fucking airhead, lamebrain, bimbo friend you outgrew in high school, but still haven't managed to can.

IT IS YOUR LIFE! LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST ON YOUR OWN TERMS!

HAIL SATAN!
