A Fallen Angel
One day I saw a blind man cry, I said “Lord, well he did try.”
Why sing a song of eternal death?
Why sing a song of Nazareth?
I can’t fly on my own.
I can’t fly on my own.
Running, I’m running as fast as I can, far from myself, far from this man.
Suddenly the ground began to quake, before me lies a bloody lake.
Out from within my soul fled into the land of the dead!
I can’t fly on my own.
I can’t fly on my own.
Through the heavens and across the stars, I shine my best but I don’t get far.
Exhausted, I lift my weary head; there he stands that blind man.
He said “My son, why must you torment? This valley of evil is yours to command.”
I can’t fly on my own.
I can’t fly on my own.
Then he opened his sunken eyes and I saw that he was the Lord Jesus Christ.
I fell to my knees and cried and cried, I screamed “Lord forgive me, I only wanted to be king!”
I can’t fly on my own,
I can’t fly on my own.

Restless and incessant
I stand alone in this darkness
Restless and incessant it does claw away
The sanity that I piece together
With the tools of my delusion
I write with a pen most shaky
My voice contains words too frank
I devour the poison before me
Trying not to draw a blank in vain
My muscles tighten and my consience strains
To find a flaw within myself
That I know I can't throw away
So I fidget and curse the sky
Eyes darting to and fro
You speak of peace as white as snow
But I find comfort in the rain
Pounding on my pounding brain
Torments fill my nightly hour
Smoke it clouds my eyes
For this life has been one
That only you despise
And so I leave you here to think
Bah and Bay just like a sheep
